UTAC, a leading international group in digital and sustainable mobility, is seeking a skilled Transport Data Technician - Emissions Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the emissions performance of cutting-edge vehicles meets regulatory standards, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct chassis dynamometer emissions tests on combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles
  • Perform pre-test vehicle inspections to ensure they meet test requirements
  • Set up test equipment, including instrumentation and data acquisition systems
  • Monitor test procedures to ensure accurate and reliable data collection
  • Analyse emissions test results using specialized software tools
  • Identify any issues or anomalies during testing and troubleshoot accordingly
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative testing methodologies
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations related to vehicle emissions testing
Requirements
  • Mechanical/PC qualification
  • Engineering apprenticeship related to motor vehicles (preferred)
  • Knowledge of combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicle technology
  • Familiarity with chassis dynamometer systems, instrumentation, and data acquisition tools
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to address any technical issues during testing
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic testing environment
  • Due to environmental test conditions, candidate must pass full annual medical
  • Flexibility to travel as and when required
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport
