Transport Administrator Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our team in Bedford. As a key member of our transport operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the transport manager and supervisors, including data entry, record-keeping, and reporting.
  • Manage driver hours, holidays, and sickness, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
  • Process payroll and HR paperwork, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Support the transport team with notetaking, data analysis, and presentation preparation.
  • Assist with driver recruitment and onboarding, collaborating with management and recruitment agencies.
  • Provide general support to the transport operation, including daily routing and licence checks.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of accident forms, in compliance with internal and external regulations.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Intermediate skills with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of UK and EU driving regulations and working time directives.
  • Full driving licence, with the ability to travel to other sites or for off-site meetings.
  • Previous experience working with Isotrak or equivalent telematics and tracking software.
