Job Summary

Bangor University is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Monitoring Administration Assistant to join its Student Administration Team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Monitoring Team to ensure the provision of a flexible and responsive engagement and attendance monitoring system for all students.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Monitoring Team to develop and implement effective attendance and engagement monitoring processes.
  • Contribute to the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and service standards for the team.
  • Assist with data quality checks and ensure accurate and timely reporting of student attendance and engagement data.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, academic staff, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide customer-focused support and guidance to students and staff on attendance and engagement-related matters.
  • Work with the Monitoring and Compliance Team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and University policies.
  • Take primary responsibility for maintaining student files and ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Assist with the early identification of 'at risk' students and provide support to the Monitoring Team to develop and implement interventions.
  • Provide support for the regular running of engagement reports and assist with action planning.
  • Assist with ID checks for students, including handling BRP cards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A* - C (including English and Maths) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of dealing with queries and providing information to students and academic staff.
  • Understanding of academic regulations and procedures, as well as legislative requirements relating to equality, data protection, and UKVI.
  • Ability to work as part of a small team and provide accurate and appropriate advice to students and staff.
  • High degree of computer literacy, preferably experience of using databases and student records systems.
