Job Title: Defence Industry Business Development Professional

Job Summary:

The ONE Group Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Defence Industry Business Development Professional to join our team. As a key member of our sales function, you will be responsible for driving customer growth, managing key customer relationships, and representing the Sales function within the operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Growth & Customer Management:
    • Drive growth by securing profitable orders from customers.
    • Develop and execute business strategies to expand our customer base and increase revenue.
  • Commercial Strategy & Execution:
    • Identify and assess new business opportunities, including potential new services and standards.
    • Lead negotiations throughout the business acquisition process.
    • Provide actionable commercial insights to guide business decisions.
    • Set sales price objectives based on market knowledge and competitor analysis, leveraging customer information and marketing feedback.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
    • Address customer issues, including claims and logistic/quality crises, ensuring effective resolution.
    • Collaborate with Key Account Managers in other regions to ensure consistency on a global scale.
  • Qualifications & Experience:
    • Proven experience in key account management or commercial roles.
    • Strong understanding of the defence industry and its market trends.
    • Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.
  • Core Competencies, Attributes:
    • Expertise in building and maintaining customer relationships.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop new business and explore new markets.
    • Proactively seeks out opportunities while minimizing risks.
    • Adaptable and flexible, with an open approach to meeting diverse customer needs.
  • Additional Information:
    • Salary up to £60,000 DOE + 15% OTE.
    • Company Car / Allowance.
    • Location: Buckinghamshire/ Bedfordshire - Flexibility for remote work.
    • Travel Requirements: Up to 50% travel within the UK and Europe.
