About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Domestic Abuse Co-ordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to people affected by domestic abuse across Trafford.

As a Domestic Abuse Co-ordinator, you will have a key role in developing strategies and coordinating plans to tackle domestic abuse and violence against women and girls. You will work closely with partners and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of services and support to those affected.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to prevent and respond to domestic abuse
  • Coordinating plans and activities with partners and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of services
  • Providing support and guidance to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse
  • Working with the Community Safety Team to develop approaches to tackling violence and abuse against women and girls
  • Preparing for and facilitating relevant meetings, including the Domestic Abuse Partnership Board
  • Coordinating domestic homicide reviews and providing key role in the development and commissioning of services

We are looking for someone with a strong passion for raising awareness around domestic abuse and violence against women and girls. You will need to have a good working knowledge of the legislation as it relates to domestic abuse and an understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and violence against women and girls.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with a range of partners and stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to keep accurate records
  • Business support experience
