Job Title: Head of Technical

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Technical to join our team at Agricultural and Farming Jobs. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our Technical Department and ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

About the Role:
  • Lead the Technical Department and ensure that our operations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with relevant accreditation standards.
  • Manage all aspects of technical and quality across the business, including internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business to contribute to a positive 'one-organization' culture.
  • Attend and contribute to management meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Be accountable for the maintenance of the Food Safety and Quality Management System to meet the requirements of the Accreditation audit(s).
  • Lead all accreditation and customer audit(s).
  • Lead customer visits and communications responding to issues and queries as necessary.
  • Chair the Technical, Senior Management Commitment and HACCP Meetings.
  • Report to the Head of Group Operations on a fortnightly basis to ensure that objectives are met and accountability.
Requirements:
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Planning and organising skills.
  • Self-starter and motivator.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
  • Adaptable leadership style in dealing with various and testing situations.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience of successfully attaining the BRCGS 'A' grade standard or above.
  • HACCP Level 3.
  • Previous experience of working within the produce industry.
