Apprentice Mechanical and CNC Engineer

As our Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our water treatment works, pumping stations, and service reservoirs. Your primary focus will be on fault-finding, repairing, and maintaining our mechanical assets to minimize risk and prevent pollution.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out reactive maintenance on mechanical equipment to the highest standards of workmanship.
- Provide detailed specifications for parts ordering and repairs.
- Manufacture and fabricate parts and equipment as needed.
- Undertake training to ensure safe and legal work practices.
- Perform scheduled work activities and assist operational staff with complex problem-solving.
- Keep internal customers informed of activities impacting their processes.
- Use or request method statements and safe systems of work for activities.
- Act as the duty Mechanical Craftsperson on a standby/call-out rota basis.
- A completed apprenticeship in a relevant technical discipline.
- A thorough understanding of related RAMS for effective and safe maintenance.
- Experience with wastewater treatment processes is desirable.
- Ability to fault-find and repair complex mechanical equipment.
