Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our dedicated team. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our mechanical systems across various operational sites. You will be employed on a full-time, permanent basis, with a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform reactive maintenance on mechanical systems, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Provide detailed specifications for parts and materials required for repairs and maintenance.
  • Engage in the manufacturing and fabrication of necessary components.
  • Complete required training to maintain compliance with safety regulations.
  • Execute scheduled maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Assist operational teams in resolving complex mechanical issues.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding maintenance activities.
  • Utilize method statements and safe work systems for all tasks performed.
  • Participate in a standby/call-out rota as the designated Mechanical Craftsperson.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of an apprenticeship in a relevant technical field.
  • Thorough understanding of risk assessments and method statements to ensure safe maintenance practices.
  • Experience with wastewater treatment processes is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical systems.
