Apprentice Mechanical and CNC Engineer

As our Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our assets. Your primary responsibilities will include fault-finding, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment across various company sites, including water treatment works, pumping stations, and service reservoirs.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out reactive maintenance on mechanical equipment to the highest standard of workmanship
- Provide detailed specifications for ordering stock replacements and parts needed for repairs
- Manufacture and fabricate parts and equipment as required
- Undertake necessary training to perform work activities safely and legally
- Carry out work activities as scheduled and assist operational staff with complex problem resolution
- Keep internal customers updated on activities impacting their processes
- Use or request method statements and safe systems of work for activities performed
- Act as the duty Mechanical Craftsperson on a standby/call-out rota basis
- A completed apprenticeship in a relevant technical discipline
- A thorough understanding of related RAMS to deliver an effective and safe maintenance regime
- Experience working with wastewater treatment processes is desirable
- Ability to fault-find and repair complex mechanical equipment
