Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our dedicated team. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our mechanical assets across various operational sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform reactive maintenance on mechanical systems to uphold the highest standards of quality.
  • Provide detailed specifications for parts and materials required for repairs and maintenance.
  • Engage in the manufacturing and fabrication of mechanical components.
  • Complete necessary training to ensure compliance with safety and legal standards.
  • Execute scheduled maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders regarding maintenance activities.
  • Utilize method statements and safe systems of work for all tasks undertaken.
  • Participate in a standby/call-out rota as the designated Mechanical Craftsperson.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an apprenticeship in a relevant technical field.
  • Thorough understanding of risk assessments and method statements to ensure effective maintenance practices.
  • Experience in wastewater treatment processes is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair large, complex mechanical systems.
