We are seeking a dedicated Oncology Pharmacy Technician to become a vital member of our Pharmacy Team at London Bridge Hospital, recognized for its outstanding care.

With multiple buildings and outpatient centers, it hosts various specialized units across numerous medical disciplines, including oncology, critical care, and transplant services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As an Oncology Pharmacy Technician, you will support the Senior Oncology Technician in managing the daily operations of the aseptic unit, which includes preparing parenteral cytotoxic chemotherapy for both inpatients and outpatients, as well as providing pharmacy services to the chemotherapy day unit and inpatient oncology wards.
  • Collaborate closely with Pharmacists, Nurses, Technicians, and assistants to ensure timely preparation of chemotherapy, maintaining a high standard of care for our Oncology Service.
  • Participate in environmental monitoring in accordance with quality assurance and quality control regulations, and assist in the training and development of rotational technicians and assistants.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Experience in a busy aseptic unit and effective workflow management is essential.
