Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy Team at the London Bridge Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in the UK. As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in the preparation of parenteral cytotoxic chemotherapy and provision of pharmacy services to the chemotherapy day unit and inpatient oncology wards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive pharmacy service that consistently meets the needs of all service users within the London Bridge Hospital Campus.
- Work closely with Pharmacists, Technicians, and assistants to ensure smooth running of the Aseptic unit and all staff currently working within the unit.
- Ensure all chemotherapy is made in a timely manner and deliver a high standard of care for our Oncology Service.
- Aid in the set-up of new medicines that have come on the market for manufacturing, environmental monitoring in line with QA and QC regulations.
- Be vital in the training and development of rotational technicians.
Requirements
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- NVQ level 3 in Pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in a busy aseptic unit and managing the workflow.
