Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy Team at the London Bridge Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in the UK. As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in the preparation of parenteral cytotoxic chemotherapy and provision of pharmacy services to the chemotherapy day unit and inpatient oncology wards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide a comprehensive pharmacy service that consistently meets the needs of all service users within the London Bridge Hospital Campus.
  2. Work closely with Pharmacists, Technicians, and assistants to ensure smooth running of the Aseptic unit and all staff currently working within the unit.
  3. Ensure all chemotherapy is made in a timely manner and deliver a high standard of care for our Oncology Service.
  4. Aid in the set-up of new medicines that have come on the market for manufacturing, environmental monitoring in line with QA and QC regulations.
  5. Be vital in the training and development of rotational technicians.

Requirements

  1. Registered Pharmacy Technician with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  2. NVQ level 3 in Pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent.
  3. Extensive experience in a busy aseptic unit and managing the workflow.
