Your role will involve mentoring and developing their skills, ensuring that all relevant criteria are met for the Pre Reg Trainee Pharmacy Technician position.

Candidates must possess a BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences / NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification, be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), hold an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification, and have prior management or leadership experience.

Previous experience in a Hospital or Community Pharmacy setting is essential.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist in managing a team of pharmacy assistants and trainee pharmacy assistants. They will provide patient-centered, high-quality care, primarily based in a hospital environment.

To ensure that patient needs are prioritized, the role will involve transitioning from traditional dispensary and medicines management services to a more integrated approach, utilizing skills and knowledge from both areas to form a multi-skilled team. This team will collaboratively work on the wards, delivering quality care through effective medicines optimization while also supporting the management of the dispensary on a rotational basis.

Experience

  • Experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting
  • Significant experience as a pharmacy technician

Qualifications

  • BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

  • HEE LaSE Medicines Optimisation qualification or equivalent
