You will play a crucial role in enhancing their skills and ensuring compliance with the necessary criteria for the Pre Reg Trainee Pharmacy Technician position.

Candidates must possess a BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences / NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification, be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), hold an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) certification, and have prior management or leadership experience.

Experience in either Hospital or Community Pharmacy settings is essential.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist in managing a team of pharmacy assistants and trainee pharmacy assistants. They will deliver patient-centered, high-quality care within a hospital environment.

To ensure that patient needs are prioritized, the role will transition from traditional dispensary and medication management services to a more integrated approach, utilizing skills and knowledge from both areas to form a cohesive team in all aspects of pharmacy service delivery. The post holder will collaborate on the wards to provide quality care through effective medication optimization and will also support the management of the dispensary on a rotational basis.
