Safety and Health Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Health Advisor to join our team at Black & Veatch Corporation. As a key member of our Waste-to-Energy project in the UK, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our safety and health procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Design, implement, and maintain safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Conduct Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents.
- Train and Educate Employees: Provide training and education to employees on safety procedures, protocols, and best practices.
- Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Manage Safety Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, including incident reports, training records, and safety audits.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of the project.
- 5+ Years of Safety Experience: Proven experience in safety and health, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex safety issues and develop effective solutions.
- Certifications and Qualifications: Relevant safety certifications and qualifications, such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
