About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fire Safety Manager to join our team at Residential Management Group. As a key member of our Health and Safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and providing expert advice to our property teams and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the subject matter expert on fire safety and building safety, responding to technical enquiries and providing guidance to employees, clients, and contractors.
  • Coordinate and maintain project plans for fire safety projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to legislation and regulations, assessing their impact on our business and implementing necessary changes.
  • Design and deliver bespoke training for employees, overseeing its delivery and ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
  • Review and update our library of fire safety and technical information, including the Fire Risk Assessment template.
  • Represent Residential Management Group at national fire and health and safety committee meetings, as required.
  • Provide data for inclusion in reports and offer advice to the property teams and senior leadership on deficiency and enforcement notices.
Requirements
  • Post-qualification experience in fire safety, M&E, construction, facilities management, or property management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant regulations, including the Building Safety Act, RRFSO, and Approved Document B.
  • Nebosh fire certificate or working towards a Fire Diploma.
  • Membership level of the Institution of Fire Engineers.
Desirable Skills
  • Commercial acumen and organizational skills to manage workloads and undertake project management and monitoring.
  • Analytical skills to undertake research and provide written summaries.
  • Ability to make decisions independently and collaboratively, evaluating options and supporting decisions with factual information.
