Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fire Safety Manager to join our team at Residential Management Group Ltd. As a key member of our Health and Safety department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and providing expert advice to our property teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the subject matter expert on fire safety and building safety legislation, providing technical responses to enquiries from employees, clients, contractors, and visitors.
- Coordinate and maintain project plans for all fire safety-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Stay up-to-date with changes to legislation and assess their impact on our organization.
- Assist in designing and delivering bespoke training for employees, as well as overseeing its delivery.
- Review and update a library of fire safety and technical information, including the Fire Risk Assessment template.
- Represent our organization at national fire and health and safety committee meetings, as required.
- Provide data for inclusion in reports and offer advice to our property teams and Senior Leadership Team on deficiency and enforcement notices.
Requirements
- Post-qualification experience in fire safety, M&E, construction, facilities management, or property management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant regulations, including the Building Safety Act, RRFSO, and Fire Safety (England) Regs.
- Nebosh fire certificate or working towards a Fire Diploma.
- Membership level of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE).
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial acumen and organizational skills to manage workloads and undertake project management and monitoring.
- Analytical skills to undertake research and provide written summaries.
- Ability to make decisions independently and collaboratively, evaluating options and supporting decisions with factual information.
