Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Officer to join our team at Black & Veatch. As a key member of our Construction group, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our safety and health procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety and health programs to prevent injuries and illnesses.
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety and health procedures.
  • Investigate incidents and near-miss incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety and health data and reports.
  • Collaborate with clients and government officials to ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in safety and health, preferably in a construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of safety and health standards and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
