Position Overview

We are thrilled to present an opportunity for a Retail Strategy Manager to become an integral part of the Retail Experience Team. The Mass Sales division aims to bring Hasbro's beloved brands to life within the retail landscape across Europe, fully supporting our key objectives of channel growth, user engagement, and player accessibility.

The primary focus of this role is to enhance omni-channel visibility for Hasbro's brands within both retail and online environments.

  • Collaborate effectively with Retail Partners to devise impactful visibility strategies in-store, online, and through customer outreach initiatives.
  • Support the established sales strategy for Hasbro in retail through annual merchandising development plans.
  • Design and implement necessary displays and merchandising solutions in key retail partners across significant markets (FR/DE/UK/IT/SP).

The Retail Strategy Manager, under the guidance of the Sales Director, will work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to align with the overall brand strategy surrounding major product releases and ancillary offerings, executing leading channel activations to achieve sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage partnerships with key retailers and wholesale partners in essential European regions.
  • Develop and implement a robust online and offline brand presence with each retailer.
  • Revitalize merchandising strategies in existing retail partners.
  • Establish a strong brand presence in newly acquired retail partners.
  • Create annual Retail Marketing plans, aligning with product releases and collaborating with our European Brand team and North American Studio/Marketing team.
  • Analyze metrics and insights to enhance future campaigns and executions.
  • Drive demonstration and assisted selling programs, along with staff training in direct retail partners.
  • Oversee online listings (non-Amazon) for all Hasbro products and ensure continuous monitoring and improvement.
  • Adopt a cross-functional approach to share creative insights across other developing channels within the organization as needed.

Essential Skills:

  • Extensive experience in Retail Marketing.
  • Preferably a background in Gaming/Video Games/Entertainment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset across functions.
  • Experience in go-to-market strategies, particularly in mass retail.
  • A proven track record of marketing excellence and partnership development, with experience in national retail and/or gaming retailers.
  • Strong creative judgment and attention to detail.
  • Project Management: Exceptional execution, resourcefulness, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • A passion for gaming and entertainment media.
  • Team-oriented individual.

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS Degree (or 5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree).
  • Preferably a background in Gaming/Video Games/Entertainment.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in French or Danish is a plus.
