About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Specialist Mental Health Recovery service in Essex. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing consultant input and responsible clinician duties for community patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality mental health assessments and evidence-based treatments to patients referred to the service.
  • Establish a reliable and accessible work schedule with the team and be readily available during work hours.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in community and inpatient settings to ensure timely care and transfer of patients as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical activities in the Trust's electronic patient record system.
  • Liaise with primary care services to discuss patients' physical health, mental health, and social care needs.
  • Help coordinate further support and/or management between different services as patients' needs dictate.

Requirements

  • Full GMC registration and inclusion on the Specialist Register with qualifications in General Adult Psychiatry.
  • Valid UK driving license or alternative transportation arrangements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
