We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Specialist Mental Health Recovery service at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.
The post covers the North Harlow primary care networks and is part of the West Essex Integrated Care System. The team provides community services for patients referred to the secondary mental health by GP surgeries within the Neighbourhood teams in Harlow North.
The post-holder will work independently and accountably as part of a team of clinicians offering Mental Health services. The team serves an adult population of around 21,000.
Main Responsibilities- Provide consultant input and Responsible clinician duties for community patients.
- Ensure excellence in the provision of mental health assessments and evidence-based treatments to all referred patients to the service in line with Trust policies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in community and inpatient settings concerning the timely care and transfer of patients as necessary.
- Liaise with primary care services as appropriate about patients' physical health, mental health, and social care needs.
- Help co-ordinate further support and/or management between different services as service users' needs may dictate.
- Holds and will use a valid UK driving license or provides evidence of proposed alternative.
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
