About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Workshop Electrician to join our team at RECO Hoist LTD. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our temporary construction hoists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough breakdown repairs, routine maintenance, and testing of electrical components on temporary construction hoists.
  • Repair, rewire, and construct 3-phase control panels according to manufacturers' specifications.
  • Test 3-phase motors and control gear, recording insulation and resistance readings.
  • Rewire hoist cages, motor packs, control switches, sensors, etc.
  • Perform PAT testing of workshop and office equipment.
  • Maintain and repair workshop supplies and electrical equipment.
  • Program parameters into logic control systems and 3-phase inverters.
  • Complete relevant paperwork accurately and submit it to the office.
  • Assist in providing solutions to rectify hoist breakdowns on-site.
  • Utilize manufacturers' drawings to aid in fault finding.
Requirements
  • Previous experience with mechanical works.
  • Previous experience of working with electrical works.
  • Efficiency in working within tight deadlines.
  • Positive and friendly approach to duties.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience within the Construction Hoist industry.
  • NVQ Level 3 certification in electrical installations and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings.
