Our client is a reputable wholesale distribution firm supplying a diverse range of products to a broad customer network.

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to become a vital part of a dynamic team within the Finance department.

Your primary objective will be to minimize financial risks and enhance profitability by ensuring that credit extended by the organization is collected promptly and in full.

You will consistently seek innovative methods to streamline the debt recovery process, making it more efficient and advantageous for both the organization and its clients.

Additionally, you will assist the organization in strategic planning by analyzing and reporting on current financial activities related to your assigned customer accounts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the accounts receivable for a designated portfolio of clients
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer account information
  • Cultivating strong B2B relationships with clients
  • Providing requested documentation as needed
  • Releasing accounts from hold status upon receipt of payment
  • Engaging with clients via phone and email
  • Collaborating with sales representatives and other departments to address inquiries
  • Managing customer complaints by gathering information and proposing solutions
  • Opening and closing customer accounts as necessary
  • Daily allocation of payments and refunds
  • Processing pro-forma orders following payment confirmation
  • Updating ledgers with queries on hold
  • Conducting reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly reports for the Finance Manager regarding outstanding invoices

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar capacity
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to remain composed and patient
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficient listening and negotiation abilities
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Determination and persistence
  • Familiarity with data entry systems
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
