Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Weekend Club activities and manage a team of volunteers at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects and teams, with a strong focus on volunteer engagement and development.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the Weekend Club activities and volunteers, including selection, induction, training, and supervision.
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage and retain volunteers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Volunteer Services to develop and implement volunteer management policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, and patients.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, including volunteer hours, attendance, and performance.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in volunteer management, with a strong focus on engagement and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
