Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Weekend Club Coordinator to join our Volunteer Services team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the Weekend Club activities and volunteers, ensuring a high-quality experience for our patients, families, and staff.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the Weekend Club activities and volunteers, including selection, placement, induction, and ongoing support.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities and events for our volunteers, promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Volunteer Services to ensure alignment with the hospital's goals and objectives.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Weekend Club programme, making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in volunteer management, with a focus on youth and community development.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage volunteers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding children procedures and confidentiality protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
