Job Overview

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the Weekend Volunteer Team, including recruitment, induction, training, supervision, and support.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities and events for our weekend volunteers, promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Volunteer Services to ensure alignment with the hospital's strategic objectives and volunteer programme goals.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures, confidentiality, and data protection protocols.
  • Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively with staff, volunteers, patients, and families.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in volunteer management, including recruitment, induction, training, supervision, and support.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage volunteers.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, confidentiality, and data protection protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment, promoting inclusivity and respect.
  • Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
