Job Description

Job Title: Weekend Club Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Weekend Club Coordinator to join our Volunteer Services team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Weekend Club activities and volunteers, including selection, placement, induction, planning, risk management, and safeguarding procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Weekend Club activities and volunteers, including selection, placement, and induction.
  • Plan and coordinate activities and events for the Weekend Club.
  • Develop and implement risk management and safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of volunteers and patients.
  • Provide ongoing support and development opportunities for volunteers.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Volunteer Services to develop and implement strategies to improve volunteer engagement and retention.

Requirements:

  • Experience of managing activities and projects for children and young people.
  • Experience of working with volunteers, including recruitment, induction, training, supervision, and support.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding children procedures and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft applications.
