Position Overview: The Director of Global Sales Operations is tasked with crafting and executing innovative sales initiatives aimed at enhancing the company's footprint and profitability across international markets. This pivotal role encompasses leading regional teams, nurturing executive partnerships with major clients, and ensuring the achievement of global sales objectives while meeting profitability benchmarks. This influential leader will also contribute to the strategic direction of the business as part of the Skullcandy Executive Leadership Team.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Sales Initiative Formulation:
    • Design and implement extensive international sales initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals.
    • Identify and assess emerging market prospects and potential alliances in global markets.
    • Evaluate market dynamics and competitor strategies to refine approaches and tactics as needed.
    • Advise the CEO and senior management on international growth opportunities.
    • Stay informed about economic, political, legal, and cultural influences impacting sales and marketing strategies.
  • Leadership and Team Development:
    • Inspire and guide international teams to meet sales and profitability objectives.
    • Establish performance targets and conduct regular evaluations for the leadership team.
    • Offer continuous training and development to enhance team capabilities.
  • Client Engagement:
    • Forge and sustain robust relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners in international markets.
    • Negotiate and finalize high-stakes sales agreements, ensuring client satisfaction and enduring partnerships.
    • Proactively address and resolve client and partner issues effectively.
    • Draft and negotiate contracts with customers and distributors.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Develop and oversee the international budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
    • Analyze sales performance and provide regular updates to executive leadership.
    • Ensure adherence to international trade regulations and corporate policies.
  • Market Growth and Development:
    • Conduct thorough market analysis to pinpoint new business avenues and growth potential.
    • Formulate and execute strategies for entering new regions and countries.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials tailored for international audiences.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
    • Work in tandem with various departments, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure a unified approach to international operations.
    • Provide insights to product development teams regarding market demands and customer preferences.
    • Engage in global trade exhibitions, conferences, and networking events to showcase the company and its offerings.
  • Profit and Loss Management:
    • Oversee the profit and loss (P&L) for international divisions, ensuring financial targets are achieved.
    • Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
    • Develop pricing strategies to ensure competitive market positioning.
  • Logistics and Operational Coordination:
    • Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure efficient supply chain management for international markets.
    • Supervise the shipping, distribution, and delivery processes for international clientele.
    • Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and documentation standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, or a related discipline; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in international sales, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing sales strategies across diverse international markets.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is advantageous.
