About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Priory Healthcare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, management, and treatment of patients with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Leadership: Serve as the Consultant and Responsible Clinician within the Multidisciplinary Team, taking overall responsibility for patient care and treatment plans.
  • Assessment and Management: Assess and manage cases, collaborating with patients, carers, and external stakeholders, and chairing MDT/CPA Meetings.
  • Service Development: Contribute to unit governance through expertise and leadership, and participate in quality improvement initiatives and service development.
  • Outpatient Services: Assess and manage outpatient cases, collaborating with patients, carers, therapists, and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent Medical Degree and MRCPsych, Full GMC registration with a license to practice, and Registration on the specialist register with CAMHS CCT/CESR, along with valid AC Status.
  • Experience: Experience and knowledge in CAMHS, and knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, as well as the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Practice.
  • Skills: Commitment to continued professional development, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
