About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Priory Hospital Roehampton. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care and treatment to adolescents in our private CAMHS unit and outpatient team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care and Treatment Plans: Take overall responsibility for patient care and treatment plans, ensuring that each individual receives the best possible care and support.
  • MDT/CPA Meetings: Chair MDT/CPA meetings and adhere to organizational admission and discharge policies, ensuring that all patients receive a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
  • Unit Governance: Contribute to unit governance through expertise and leadership, ensuring that the ward complies with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Improvement Initiatives: Participate in ward governance meetings and organizational quality improvement initiatives, driving continuous improvement and excellence in care.
  • Academic Responsibilities: Participate in monthly academic meetings, engage in audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to the development of new treatments and therapies.
Requirements
  • Medical Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent medical degree and MRCPsych.
  • CAMHS Experience: Registration on the specialist register with CAMHS CCT/CESR, along with valid AC status, and experience and knowledge in CAMHS.
  • Skills and Qualities: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make informed decisions.
