About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Priory Healthcare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and delivering high-quality patient care in our private adolescent mental health unit and private outpatient CAMHS team.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring safe and effective service delivery.
  • Take overall responsibility for patient care and treatment plans, working closely with patients, carers, and external stakeholders.
  • Assess and manage cases, collaborating with patients, carers, therapists, and external stakeholders.
  • Chair MDT/CPA meetings and adhere to organizational admission and discharge policies.
  • Contribute to unit governance through expertise and leadership.
Service Delivery
  • Ensure the ward complies with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ward governance meetings and organizational quality improvement initiatives and service development.
  • Attend monthly CAMHS governance meetings and regular outpatient CAMHS MDT meetings.
Academic and Professional Development
  • Participate in monthly academic meetings and deliver case presentations and teaching.
  • Engage in audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree and MRCPsych.
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
  • Registration on the specialist register with CAMHS CCT/CESR, along with valid AC Status.
  • Experience and knowledge in CAMHS.
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, as well as the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Practice.
  • Commitment to continued professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
