Radis Community Care is seeking a dedicated Community Care Assistant to join our team within the Extra Care Service.

Position Details:

Hours: Up to 16 hours per week, primarily during early and late shifts (07:00-15:00), with some flexibility for additional shifts. Weekend work is required as part of the schedule.

Compensation: £11.54 per hour for daytime shifts, £11.84 for weekends, £12.54 for waking nights, and an additional £1 per hour for bank holidays.

Role Overview:

As a Community Care Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to support elderly individuals who may be experiencing challenges due to physical limitations, helping them to maintain their independence. This role includes assisting residents with limited mobility in moving to dining areas during meal times, engaging in social activities in communal spaces, and providing access to their private rooms as needed.

Your duties will also encompass aiding residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, hygiene, and dressing. You will have the chance to engage residents in both physical and mental activities through recreational and social events, either individually or in groups.

The aim of this position is to enhance residents' independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering high-quality care.

Shift Patterns:

Shifts may include:

  • 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Work will be scheduled Monday to Friday, with alternate weekends.
