Position Overview

As a Landscape Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the outdoor environment of our care home, ensuring that it remains a serene and inviting space for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the upkeep of all grassy areas, including mowing, trimming, and weed management.
  • Maintain the health and appearance of trees and shrubs through regular trimming and pruning.
  • Care for flower beds, border plants, hanging baskets, and potted plants to ensure vibrant displays.
  • Conduct general maintenance tasks such as sweeping, litter removal, and leaf raking on paved areas.
  • Keep tool sheds and storage areas organized, ensuring all gardening equipment is well-maintained.
  • Assist the Maintenance Operative with painting and basic maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in grounds maintenance, coupled with a genuine passion for gardening. Experience in managing large estates and knowledge of horticultural regulations are advantageous. Strong customer service skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team are essential. Practical skills in painting and decorating will also be beneficial.
