Job Title: Postdoctoral Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Scientist to join our team at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB). The successful candidate will work within the group of Dr. Patrycja Kozik, investigating initiation immune responses by dendritic cells.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake research to characterise molecular mechanisms involved in dendritic cell functions.
  • Identify, develop, and apply a broad range of techniques to pursue research objectives.
  • Present scientific work at seminars within the laboratory and at external meetings.
  • Contribute to laboratory-wide discussions on developments within the field.
  • Draft scientific papers and contribute to the overall preparation of research for publication.
  • Assist in the training of PhD students and other members of the LMB.
Requirements:
  • PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, or immunology, or due to complete PhD within 6 months.
  • Solid knowledge of dendritic cell biology.
  • Experience of and ability to perform techniques relevant to the project, including antigen trafficking, processing, and presentation, MHC class I biology, and mouse models.
