Group Financial Reporting Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team at Accountable Recruitment. As a key member of our accounting services team, you will be responsible for providing financial reporting and analysis support to our Group Financial Controller.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain effective financial controls within the accounting services function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UKGAAP.
- Prepare and present statutory accounts, including VAT submissions and corporation tax returns.
- Reconcile all supporting balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, maintaining financial integrity and accuracy.
- Address and resolve any queries raised by stakeholders regarding the accounts, providing clear and detailed explanations.
- Prepare and present weekly group cash flow forecasts to the Financial Controller for consolidation, ensuring effective financial planning.
- Proactively identify potential issues within the financial reporting process and suggest practical solutions.
- Drive the completion of the group accounts, ensuring each entity is complete.
- Develop and manage relationships with external auditors and tax professionals, ensuring efficient and effective audit and tax processes.
- Experience in audit from a top 6 Practice.
- ACCA/ACA qualified.
- Strong understanding of financial controls and UKGAAP.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement.
