We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team at Accountable Recruitment. As a key member of our accounting services function, you will play a crucial role in maintaining effective financial controls and ensuring accuracy in our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Control Environment: Collaborate with our Financial Controller to establish and maintain robust financial controls, ensuring compliance with UKGAAP and accuracy in our financial reporting.
- Statutory Reporting: Prepare and submit VAT returns, statutory accounts, and corporation tax returns in a timely and accurate manner.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Reconcile all supporting balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, maintaining financial integrity and accuracy.
- Stakeholder Queries: Address and resolve any queries raised by stakeholders regarding our financial reports, providing clear and detailed explanations.
- Cash Flow Forecasting: Prepare and present weekly group cash flow forecasts to our Financial Controller for consolidation, ensuring effective financial planning.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively identify potential issues within our financial reporting process and suggest practical solutions.
- Year-End Accounts: Drive the completion of our group accounts, ensuring each entity is complete and accurate.
- Audit & Tax Process Management: Develop as the primary contact for our audit and tax processes across all companies within our group, managing relationships and fulfilling requests efficiently.
- Experience in audit from a top 6 Practice.
- ACCA/ACA qualified.
- Strong understanding of financial controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement.
