Midwife Community Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Midwife Community Specialist to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our maternity unit, you will be responsible for providing safe, clinically effective, and individualized care to women and birthing people throughout their pregnancy journey.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care to ensure seamless and high-quality care for patients.
- Be responsible for the organization of midwifery care for assigned patients, utilizing the full skills of a midwife practitioner.
- Communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary professionals and agencies to ensure seamless care at a high standard.
- Take appropriate action to ensure patient safety, including delegation of patient care to midwives with the appropriate level of skill.
- Ensure that midwifery procedures and guidelines are implemented and maintained in accordance with trust and national policies.
- NMC registration as a midwife.
- Ability to provide leadership and support to junior members of the team.
- Ability to deal with exposure to bereavement and challenging behavior.
- Leadership qualities and ability to demonstrate a research-based approach to care.
- Computer literacy and IT skills.
- Ability to interpret and adhere to trust and departmental policies, protocols, procedures, and guidelines.
- Flexible to change in demands of service.
- Ability to identify risk and understanding of Clinical Governance.
