We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate midwife to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Safeguarding Midwife, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of women and their babies.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, develop, and implement programs of care to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Organize and coordinate midwifery care for assigned patients, utilizing the full skills of a midwife practitioner.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary professionals and agencies to ensure seamless care.
- Take appropriate action to ensure patient safety, including delegating patient care to midwives with the appropriate level of skill.
- Ensure that midwifery procedures and guidelines are implemented and maintained in accordance with trust and national policies.
- Current, effective, and up-to-date registration with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- Evidence of pre-registration midwifery studies/training leading to professional midwifery registration.
- Ability to travel and work variable shift patterns, including early, late, and night shifts over 7 days a week.
- Flexible approach to working and ability to adapt to changing demands of the service.
- Ability to identify risk and understanding of Clinical Governance.
