Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housing Standards Inspector to join our team at Ad Warrior. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of temporary accommodation across London.

About the Role
  • Conduct thorough inspections of temporary accommodation properties to ensure they meet minimum standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities and accommodation providers to improve property conditions and standards.
  • Award STS Grades to properties based on the London-wide agreed standard.
About the Service

Our organization delivers a pan-London housing standards and inspection service, focusing on temporary accommodation, bed and breakfasts, and studio apartments.

  • We ensure quality across the sector and guarantee that the standard of accommodation meets minimum requirements.
  • Our service is currently used and supported by 29 of the 33 London Boroughs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities and accommodation providers.
  • Travel within London to undertake property inspections.
  • Work from our office or from home.
Requirements
  • Full driving licence.
  • Degree or diploma in environmental health approved by the CIEH Environmental Health Registration Board, or at least 2 years relevant experience working in a local authority private sector housing service.
  • Recognised HHSRS Assessors training certificate or qualification.
  • Broad experience of inspection and enforcement in private sector housing, including HMOs in a local authority context or relevant and appropriate transferrable skills.
