About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our team at The Ivy Collection. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Sous Chef in the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring that our high standards of quality and presentation are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sous Chef in the preparation and presentation of dishes, including menu planning and food costing.
  • Supervise and train junior chefs in the kitchen, ensuring that they are aware of and adhere to our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and dishes, working closely with the Sous Chef and other members of the culinary team.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment and utensils are clean and well-maintained, and that the kitchen is presented in a clean and organized manner.
  • Work closely with the Sous Chef to ensure that the kitchen is running efficiently and effectively, and that all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standard.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation, including menu planning and food costing.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and supervise junior chefs.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, and to maintain a high level of quality and presentation in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
