About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Practitioner Psychologist to work in our Cardiac Rehabilitation Service for individuals living with cardiac issues. The successful candidate will work as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team providing services to this population under the supervision of an experienced Practitioner Psychologist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect psychological services to patients, including face-to-face and remote consultations, and group and individual sessions.
  • Offer a psychological perspective to Multi-Disciplinary Team colleagues and other staff working with individuals coping with cardiac health issues.
  • Routinely evaluate service delivery and provide intelligence to inform service development.
Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Doctoral Training in DCOP/DClin Psy or Masters in Health/Forensic Psychology.
  • Psychology-related Degree 2:1 + (with GBR).
  • HCPC registration or due to register if trainee.

Experience

  • Providing specialist psychological assessments to vulnerable groups of people.
  • Providing specialist psychological interventions to vulnerable individuals.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of relevant psychological theory.
  • Knowledge and experience of risk assessment.
  • Research knowledge and experience.

Skills

  • MDT working.
  • IT and digital systems.
  • Psychometric assessment.
