Job Title: Area Sales Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Engineer to drive sales growth in steam thermal solutions in the Southwest and Southern UK territory.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, driving, and delivering sales and profit growth with an end-user portfolio, utilizing resources to best effect and implementing solution selling. You will be responsible for generating a pipeline of qualified, proactively generated projects and focusing on customer account management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and execute territory action plans to deliver business growth for the area of responsibility.
  • Proactively manage and develop customer accounts through targeted sales calls, solution selling, and exemplary service.
  • Identify, qualify, and forecast opportunities utilizing the Lead to Order process and available business tools.
  • Utilize best practice and expertise to develop sound engineering solutions and use Customer Value Propositions to unlock sales potential.
  • Take ownership and manage the opportunity pipeline, ensuring an effective and accurate forecast is delivered on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Timely update of customer records and prepare reports that reflect the area of responsibility, utilizing appropriate analytical approaches and Business Information tools.
  • Ensure effective matrix working in conjunction with External and Internal Support functions.
Requirements:
  • Working within a relevant technical or commercial role.
  • Customer-facing experience and experience with solution selling techniques.
  • Business management and steam/process experience.
