About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starting and highly-motivated individual to join our team as a PET/CT Administrative Assistant within Swansea Locality, as part of the Nuclear Medicine Department at Swansea Bay University Health Board.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide patient support, counseling, and welfare for patients undergoing Nuclear Medicine, DXA, and PET/CT examinations.
- Ensure correct patient preparation and compliance for complex examinations.
- Provide clerical and administrative functions associated with the daily work of Nuclear Medicine, DXA, and PET/CT.
- Be a core team member of the Nuclear Medicine office team, providing administrative support for PET/CT, DXA, and Imaging sections.
- Provide office training to junior staff members and ensure the effective running of the frontline office in the department.
Requirements
- GCSE qualification or equivalent in Maths and English.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in relevant subject business administration or equivalent experience.
- Administrative experience, including prior experience dealing with members of the public and experience in data input.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, with strict awareness of confidentiality issues.
