Job Overview

Position: Administrative Coordinator for Secretariat

Location: Flexible work arrangements

Role Summary:

As an Administrative Coordinator for the Secretariat at the Disability Charities Consortium (DCC), you will join a dedicated team that supports the collaborative efforts of nine national disability charities, including the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).

Your role will involve working closely with DCC colleagues on policy initiatives, contributing to significant inquiries, organizing meetings, and ensuring the efficient operation of DCC activities under the guidance of a line manager at RNIB.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting prominent UK disability charities by collaborating with policy leaders to create DCC correspondence and briefings.
  • Facilitating communication among a network of communications leaders and organizing meetings for the CEO group.
  • Coordinating with the UK Government's Disability Unit Stakeholder team and preparing for Ministerial discussions.
  • Supporting the DCC's participation in the UK Covid Inquiry to highlight the experiences and insights of disabled individuals.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong writing capabilities.
  • Experience in evaluating policy documents and drafting informative briefings.
  • Proficient in managing meeting logistics and administrative responsibilities effectively.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a high-achieving team environment.

Work Environment:

This position offers flexibility, with a requirement to be present at the London office at least once a week.
