Job Description for Payroll Administrator at Portfolio Payroll

Our client, a leading provider of payroll services, is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Payroll Processing: Process payrolls for staff and pensioners, ensuring that tax codes, entitlements, deductions, and other adjustments are in line with instructions from HMRC, HR & Development, and other clients.
  2. Payroll Summaries: Prepare and post payroll summaries to the nominal ledger and reconcile control accounts/loan accounts on a monthly basis.
  3. RTI Submissions: Update and remit RTI submissions (including FPS and EPS) to HMRC and upload tax code changes.
  4. Statutory Payments: Reconcile and remit monthly payments to HMRC for income tax, national insurance contributions, and any other statutory recoveries.
  5. Payroll Information: Produce monthly debit statements, deal with queries from staff, and provide payroll information to HR & Development, HMRC, and other government bodies.
