About the Role:

Portfolio Payroll is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of multiple client payrolls to agreed deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process payroll data for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  2. Run audit and validation checks for payroll, as well as interface data to General Ledger and Pensions systems.
  3. Monitor statutory payments and calculations, including SSP, SMP, and other relevant payments.
  4. Manage payroll changes to time and attendance systems.
  5. Administer the end-to-end payroll process and auto-enrolment compliance for a portfolio of clients.
  6. Provide payroll-related support to clients, including answering queries and resolving issues.
  7. Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure seamless delivery of payroll services.
  8. Stay up-to-date with payroll legislation and industry changes through independent research.

Requirements:

  1. Previous payroll administration experience in a bureau or practice environment, processing multiple clients' payrolls.
  2. End-to-end payroll processing experience, including pensions, benefits, and statutory payments.
  3. High level of accuracy and attention to detail across both manual and systems-based work.
  4. Strong customer-focused approach, with the ability to handle customer queries and resolve issues.
  5. Knowledge and understanding of payroll legislation, processing, and auto-enrolment regulations.
  6. Ability to manually calculate a payroll.
