Residential Children's Services Team Lead

Polaris Community is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Residential Children's Services Team Lead. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the needs of young people in our care are met and providing a positive and safe living experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of Residential Support Workers to provide high-quality childcare and ensure the home runs efficiently and effectively.
- Work on shift to safeguard young people and create a homely environment, taking into account their views, wishes, and feelings.
- Deliver supervision to Residential Support Workers in accordance with company policy and ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care.
- Comply with the Company's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures and have an up-to-date knowledge of the Home's Statement of Purpose, Policy, and Procedures.
- Support effective multi-agency working and positive relationships with staff, the local community, local authorities, and other professional agencies.
- Comply with company guidelines on Codes of Conduct and set an acceptable role model standard within the home, acting as a mentor to staff.
- Assist in the development and delivery of the objectives identified in the young person's Plans and support the reviewing and monitoring process in the development of Care Planning.
- Play an active part in promoting and encouraging the participation of young people in the decision-making process of the home and wider community.
- Comply with legislation and company policies on Health & Safety, Fire, and Data Protection.
- Attend all required training and support QCF learners when required.
Essential Skills:
- Good overall standard of education.
- Working towards or hold Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Child Care legislation, children's home regulations, and quality standards.
- Previous experience of working directly with young people with challenging behavior.
- Good report writing and numeracy skills, well-organized with good administration skills, and IT literate.
- Able to relate to young people with empathy and committed to a high standard of childcare and achieving the best outcomes for young people in their care.
- Strong motivational, management, and leadership potential, able to supervise, support, and develop Residential Support Workers to create a cohesive team.
- Good knowledge of relevant Children's Home legislation and local & national child protection procedures and protocols.
