We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the needs of young people in our care are met and providing a positive and safe living experience.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and lead Team Leaders and Residential Support Workers to provide high-quality childcare.
- Work with the Children's Home Manager to ensure the residential home runs smoothly and effectively.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve positive outcomes for young people.
- Good overall standard of education.
- Working towards or hold Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Child Care legislation, children's home regulations, and quality standards.
- Hold a QCF Level 3 qualification or be willing to work towards one.
- Commitment to commence relevant Level 5 Diploma within 6 months of appointment and successful completion of probation period, if not already qualified to this level.
- A minimum of 2 years' previous experience of working directly with young people with challenging behavior.
- Experience of working with outside agencies, other professionals, parents, and families.
- Excellent report writing and numeracy skills.
- Well-organized with excellent administration and IT skills.
