Senior Corporate Tax Manager

First 2 Recruit is seeking an experienced senior manager to lead our growing and dynamic North Yorkshire team, reporting to the local tax partner, to manage the corporation tax team and tax affairs of a diverse client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a varied mix of work across a diverse range of business sectors within the local market.
- Oversee the corporation tax team and processes to ensure the successful and timely delivery of corporation tax compliance work over the annual compliance cycle.
- Supervise and review work undertaken by the tax team, including staff-related responsibilities and work planning.
- Report directly to the corporate tax partner and/or client partner, and contribute to shaping the department's strategy.
- Provide tax planning services across the diverse portfolio of clients, including group tax planning, property planning, capital allowances, R&D tax credits, and s455 tax planning.
- Deliver tax accounting services as an essential part of the role.
- Collaborate with Partners on stand-alone tax advisory projects, including structuring acquisitions and disposals, reorganisations, transaction support, and due diligence.
- Have experience in running a corporate tax compliance portfolio.
- Be capable of organising the delivery of tax work, problem-solving, and using their own initiative.
Applicants should hold a CTA and/or ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualification.
